Orbit South Central: May 2024

  • Surrey Research Park - Technology Centre 40 Occam Road Guildford, England, GU2 7YG United Kingdom (map)

On Wednesday 22nd May 2024, Space South Central is delighted to host our monthly networking event, Orbit South Central at Surrey Research Park - Technology Centre.

Created with the aim of connecting key players in the UK space industry and providing an opportunity to discover the region’s space-related activities, whilst discussing the sector on both a local and national level. Our monthly networking events are an occasion in which we can meet to share our knowledge and skills. A chance to hear the latest news, and funding opportunities whilst listening to experts across the sector share their thoughts and ideas.

Speakers for this month include Graham Wingate from Mclennan Servo Supplies Limited; Rob Cross from UKSA; and Ian James from Cosmic Capital.

Also this month, in collaboration with Venner Shipley, we are pleased to offer a free intellectual property (IP) clinic to all.

The IP clinic offers confidential one-on-one discussions with Rob Cork, a partner in Venner Shipley’s Electronics, Software and Communications (ESC) team, to talk about any IP-related matters such as patents, copyright, trademarks, and invention disclosures.  Rob is a Chartered UK and European patent attorney, and has extensive experience of advising clients in the space sector on how best to protect their IP.

Spaces at the IP clinic are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.  To book a 30-minute slot, please email Venner Shipley’s marketing department at vsmarketing@vennershipley.co.uk.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us at victoria.may-chamberlain@port.ac.uk. You can follow our Twitter and LinkedIn accounts where we share regular updates about our work and events.

By applying for tickets, you will automatically be registered for our monthly newsletter. Should you wish to opt out, please email info@spacesouthcentral.com.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!
