C-LEO programme

Deadline: Wednesday 8 May 2024 

The UK Space Agency Connectivity in Low Earth Orbit (C-LEO) programme will provide up to £160 million of grant funding and contract awards over the next 4 years to UK companies and researchers to develop innovative satellite communications technology.

UK-South Korea CR&D 2024 

Deadline: Wednesday 22nd May 2024

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and Korean Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) to invest up to £6 million in innovation projects.

The aim of this competition is to fund business led, collaborative research and development (CR&D) projects focused on industrial research. This is for innovative proposals developed between the UK and South Korea.

Your proposal must include at least one partner from the UK and one partner from South Korea.

Unlocking Space for Business

Deadline: Wednesday 22nd May 2024

The aim of the Unlocking Space for Business competition is to offer financial services and transport & logistics companies, alongside satellite data and service partners, the chance to apply for a share of up to £3.5 million, inclusive of VAT and subject to affordability, to trial new solutions that use satellite data and services to benefit their organisation

Space For Infrastructure: Water Management

Deadline: Wednesday 29th May 2024

The fourth thematic area under the “Space for Infrastructure” thematic Call for Proposals is water management infrastructure. 

Use cases that may be addressed through this call include (but are not limited to): 

  • the estimation of future water usage, where, by predicting future demand, water authorities will be able to better plan the future infrastructure production needs, which will also improve the efficiency of water usage increasing the efficiencies in water treatments including for example wastewater infrastructure monitoring

  • facilitating preventative infrastructure maintenance to increase the grid capacity and allow for a more efficient system 

  • supporting better-informed water policy creation and information policy decisions 

  • monitoring water grid security and threats to infrastructure.

Gravitational Waves consolidated grants: 2024

Deadline: Tuesday 6th August 2024

Apply for funding to support gravitational waves research.

To be eligible for this funding opportunity you must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for STFC funding. In addition proposals must meet STFC’s particle astrophysics gravitational waves remit.

STFC will fund 80% of the full economic cost (FEC). Please note that some capital costs may be funded at a variable rate between 50% and 100%.

Projects will be funded for three years.
