SBRI: Future Telecommunications Challenge

Deadline: Thursday 23 November 2023

Organisations can apply for a share of £28 million, inclusive of VAT in this SBRI competition for the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge telecommunications technological solutions with a foundational role in communication networks.

Cybersecurity As Enabler For Secure Satellite Communications And Resilient Applications

Deadline: Monday 11th December 2023

This new Space Systems for Safety and Security (4S) Call for Proposals aims to foster the development of innovative satellite communications technologies, products, systems and downstream applications. ESA support will be based on a co-funding scheme where the funding levels will take into consideration product maturity and the risks involved.

Satellites for Biodiversity Award, Round 2

Deadline: Friday 15th December 2023

Connected Conservation Foundation and The Airbus Foundation are delighted to announce round 2 of the ‘Satellites for Biodiversity Award’.

Winners will receive access to the most advanced optical satellite imagery at 30cm spatial resolution from Airbus Pléiades Neo and 50cm from Pléiades, alongside $6,000 USD of financial funding.

Public Engagement Legacy Awards: 2024A

Deadline: Tuesday 19th December 2023

Apply for Legacy award funding to continue your programme to improve public engagement in science and technology. You must have previously received funding through STFC public engagement awards. Your previous award grant must have finished within 36 months of the closing date of the opportunity.

Your proposal must focus on an area from the STFC remit. You must be able to demonstrate the success of your previous project through data.

The full economic cost of your project can be up to £62,500. STFC will fund up to:

  • £50,000 for a first Legacy award

  • £25,000 for a second Legacy award

METASTARS - Open call for innovation services

Deadline: Sunday 31st December 2023

The target audience of the METASTARS call for innovation services are SMEs from the Aeronautics, Space, Defence and ICT sectors wishing to submit proposals related to Aerospace & Defence. €362,000 is available across 6 activities: Green Technology Development, Digitalisation, Upskilling and Reskilling, Internationalisation for Japan, Internationalisation for Canada and Information System Secruity.

Exploration Science working group support

Deadline: Open Until Further Notice

The UK Space Agency is making up to £40,000 available to support academics who have been selected for groups and/or science teams, campaign science groups and other definition work relating to named Exploration missions.

Funding type: Travel and time support for academics

Who can apply: Academics selected for groups and/or science teams, campaign science groups and other definition work relating to named UK Space Agency Exploration Science missions.
